This interesting selection of vintage and contemporary jewelry belonged to Rosita Diaz Gimeno, one of the great stars of Spanish cinema of the 1930's, and one of the first women who also succeeded in Hollywood, under contract with Fox Studios.
After being arrested, imprisoned and almost shot during the beginning of the Spanish Civil War because she was the wife of the son of the President of the Republic Juan Negrin, Rosita was forced to flee abroad to save her life. A new stage began and she managed to pursue a great international career in film and theatre, working with the most renowned directors, including Jean Grémillon for example, alongside actors such as Maurice Chevalier.
