Held from 27 to 31 December 2019, the end-of-year prestige sales of Besch Cannes Auction - ranked #1 French independent wine sales houses - (wines, art, watches and jewellery) closed the year with success.
The auction of Champagnes, fine wines and rare spirits reached 1800000€ ! Dedicated to painting and sculpture, the vacation of "Impressionists to contemporaries" also recorded very beautiful results. Among them, a rare art deco statuette flew away for 111600€. Entitled "Clara", the sculpture in patinated bronze and ivory on onyx pedestal is the work of the artist of Romanian origin Demeter Chiparus (1886-1947), specialized in figurines of dancers inspired from the Orient and Music-Hall and Russian ballets.
Among the flagship works, let's note that a painting by Bernard Buffet (1928-1999), "Rue de Village, 70 " was sold for 115460€.
