
This event, held from December 27 to 29 at the Hôtel Martinez in Cannes, once again offered fine wine enthusiasts the opportunity to acquire magnificent bottles offered by Besch Cannes Auction and appraised by Pascal Kuzniewski in a catalogue featuring 2395 lots.
The sale featured fine wines from prestigious private and professional cellars, including a set of eight bottles of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti 2016 (sold for 47244€ - Lot 2216) and big names from Bordeaux such as Petrus (six bottles from the 1995 vintage sold for 14260€ - Lot 1000), Cheval Blanc (twelve bottles from 1990 sold for 13144€ - Lot 2009) and Mouton Rothschild (six bottles from 2000 sold for 8990€ - Lot 245). An exceptional lot of 12 cases from the Duclot Collection sold together for 83142€ (Lot 1923) was also featured in the sales.
As for spirits, they were not to be outdone, with superb bottles of Chartreuse highly sought after by collectors around the world (1 bottle of Chartreuse Jaune, Period 1878-1903 Fourvoirie (sold for 13330€ - Lot 1902) or 1 bottle of Chartreuse Jaune, ‘La Tarragone du siècle’ (sold for 8680€ - Lot 998), alongside great Champagne Houses such as Krug, Salon, Bollinger and Taittinger, among others.
