This exceptional two-tone gold ring features a pear-shaped natural pink diamond in its centre weighing 2,21 cts. It is surrounded by 9 navette diamonds for a total of approx. 1 ct of assumed D/E colour and assumed VVS/VS clarity punctuated with small pink brilliant cut diamonds, finished by a pavement of brilliant cut diamonds on the body of the ring.
This ring comes with a GIA certifificate stating that the diamond is natural Fancy Light Purplish Pink colour and SI1 clarity.
Pink diamonds called « Fancy Pink » are the result of a reaction following the extreme pressure to which the diamond is subjected during its crystallization, abnormally compressing its atomic structure, thus creating a red or pink stone.
It is estimated that only 1 out of 100000 diamonds can be classifified as pink.
