Double-Magnum Petrus 2000
Estimate : 22000 - 26000€

This annual event is eagerly awaited by collectors from France and abroad.

From December 27th to 29th, Besch Cannes Auction is taking over the lounges of the Hôtel Martinez for one of the finest auctions of fine wines and rare spirits in 2023. A total of 2,600 lots will be auctioned. The majority of these prestigious nectars come from several magnificent private cellars. The Cannes-based auction house, one of France's leading wine auction houses, is sure to create quite a stir. The programme, orchestrated by auctioneer Maître Besch and assisted by expert Pascal Kuzniewski, include a wide selection of exceptional bottles.

Among Burgundy's finest wines, there is a strong presence of legendary vintages. Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in particular is very well represented, with several cases in the range, including one from 2010 and one from 2002, estimated at €60,000 and €36,000 respectively. Connoisseurs will also appreciate another rarity : a bottle of Musigny, Domaine Georges Roumier from 2010, estimated at between €12,000 and €14,000. Bordeaux's greatest classified growths are also on show. Among them : many from Petrus, such as this assortment of 3 bottles from 2009 estimated at €12,000, or this double-magnum Petrus 2000 valued at €22,000.

Of course, liqueurs and prestige vintages will also be on sale, along with prestigious cognacs and rare Champagnes, such as this extremely rare bottle of Magnum Champagne Salon from 1949, which could fetch €6,000; or a bottle of green Chartreuse from the 1940s, estimated at between €1,500 and €2,000.

Some of these lots will be on display in the mornings of the sales at the Hôtel Martinez.
