Boucheron ring
Boucheron ring

If the exceptional diamond adorning this ring has a D colour, Internally Flawless clarity, it also has an extremely rare Type IIA chemical composition (only 2% are Type IIA), confirmed by the GIA laboratory in New York. The Type II composition means that the diamond contains no nitrogen and the "A" means that it is also free of Boron. In other words, the diamond offered here is gas-neutral and carbon is its only dominant element, giving it exceptional transparency. These stones are often diamonds from the former Golconde mines in India, which have now dried up. Boucheron, the first jeweller to set up shop on the Place Vendôme, has not overlooked this one. After an emerald cut, typical of the famous house, the 5.13 carat stone was mounted in a platinum ring and set off with two trapeze diamonds, to create a magnificent ring.

Estimate between 220000 and 320000 €.
