Post-Impressionist landscapes surrounded him, as did two paintings by Armand Guillaumin, one celebrating his favorite region. His Rivière à Crozant (24 x 33 cm) sold for 58420€, while Saint-Chéron, Ile de France circa 1890 (54 x 65 cm) fetched 32510€, soon to take its place in Volume II of the painter's catalog raisonné. In 1880, Eugène Boudin painted Étaples, marée basse, a canvas (36 x 58.5 cm) which fetched 5750€; in Robert Schmit's catalog raisonné devoted to the artist, it is listed in Volume II (no. 1285). Maurice Utrillo's La Rue Saint-Vincent - Le Lapin agile, painted around 1916, an oil on board (27 x 41 cm), fetched 38100€. On the other hand, his Marchande de poissons, seen on the cover of Gazette no. 27, found no takers. On August 16th, jewelry made its entrance, led by a contemporary white gold ring featuring a 5,02 ct fancy yellow diamond (VS1 clarity), set with baguette diamonds (weight : 8,65 g). It was on your finger in exchange for 48250€. While a pair of lapel clips circa 1940, signed Cartier, in platinum and gold, each stylizing a five-petal flower, entirely set with baguette and european-cut diamonds (total approx. 18 ct), pinned at 41900€.

Ferrari 599 GTB

On Thursday, August 15th, 114400€ was on offer for the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, a Gran Turismo Berlinetta sports car. The name “Fiorano” evokes the name of the Prancing Horse brand's test track near Maranello. With this car, Ferrari created the two-seater (two-seater sports car) ever developed at Maranello. Launched on March 24th, 2009, our 599 GTB is the result of a production run that began in 2006, with a restyling unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show three years later.

Tapies

Antoni Tàpies (1923-2012) painted Ocra, marro i blanc amb quatres in 1972 (see Gazette no. 29, page 102). Emblematic of the Catalan's work, both in terms of its materials and its palette of earthy hues, the work turns out to be a mixed technique on wood, signed on the back (60 x 73 cm). To win it, you had to offer 54600€. It was first acquired at the Martha Jackson Gallery, New York, in 1973, before moving to the Galleria d'Arte Moderna Ravagnan, Venice. The painting is listed in the artist's complete works archive, and bears a certificate from the Tàpies commission.
