The auction of fine wines and rare spirits of Besch Cannes Auction was held in the idyllic setting of Palm Beach in Cannes.
This summer sales day once again gave French and foreign wine lovers the opportunity to acquire rare and magnificent bottles, mainly from several cellars of very knowledgeable individuals. In addition to splendid local cellars, the wines came from different regions of France such as the Grand-Est, Rhône-Alpes and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
In Bordeaux, we found the legendary vintage of Pomerol, Petrus declined on many vintages, some housed in original wooden boxes (6 bottles of 2002 sold 13650€ - lot 328, 6 dof2008 for 15250€ - lot 329, 6 of 2011 for 14880€ - lot 330 and 3 of 2012 for 7450€ - lot 331) and all the major classified wines of Medoc and Libourne.Thus, many cases of Château Cheval Blanc (24 bottles from 1990 sold 21450€ - lots 439 and 440), Haut-Brion (42 bottles from 1990 sold 30000€ - lots 469 to 472), Lafite Rothschild (12 bottles from 1990 sold 7935€ - lot 492), Latour (12 bottles of 1990 for 7810€ - lot 497 and 11 of 1998 for 6700€ - lot 811), Margaux, Mouton Rothschild (6 bottles of 2000 for 12050€ - lot 337) were scattered and accompanied the numerous Prestige and Collection boxes that offered this vacation. Large sizes to embellish the meals in a nice way were also part of the game (let us quote a rare Jeroboam of Mouton Rothschild 2000 (sold 16000€ - lot 326).
Currently very popular around the world, the best Burgundian wines were the object of many covets with those of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (3 bottles of la Tâche 2009 sold 14880€ - lot 240) or the confidential Montrachet of the same domain (2005 vintage sold 8120€ - lot 247). We found the sublime black pinots of the Roumier estates (1 bottle of Musigny 1998 for 8050€ - lot 301 et 1 of 2007 for 8185€ - lot 370, 2 bottles of Bonnes-Mares 2010 sold 3100€ - lot 178), Rousseau, Mugnier and the chardonnays of Coche-Dury (1 bottle of Corton-Charlemagne 2004 for 3535€ – lot 186) or even Comtes Lafon.
Great wines of the Rhône such as the Château Rayas, exceptional champagnes including the S de Salon, foreign wines of beautiful origin and old spirits (cognacs 1865) have allowed everyone to find his happiness at all costs!
