After the festive season, many people prefer to tighten their belts by setting a tight budget while they replenish their bank accounts. Others, on the other hand, keep emptying their accounts to treat themselves to some real treasures. Collectors will recognise themselves ! Hundreds of bidders, ready to do battle, will be rushing into the lobby of the Hôtel Martinez this weekend to acquire the pieces up for sale. Paintings, sculptures, decorative art, fine jewellery, prestigious watches and important diamonds... Four exceptional lots will have the hammer banging more than the others.
This work, measuring 92 x 150 cm and created in 1980, is an acrylic on canvas bearing the words "Hartung T1980-E26". It comes from a private collection, directly acquired by the current owner, a close friend of the artist, from the Estate of Hans Hartung. This is evidenced by a letter from the court administration dated 8 June 1990.
If Luis Bunuel had imagined disconnected cartoons (Miké Nické, Tome de Savoie and Jary Alfréda, Titin le jeune belge...), would the Spanish director, who became a naturalised Mexican, have been a hit ? This mixed technique on canvas, measuring 200 x 205 cm, was acquired from Guy Pieters Gallery by its current owner.
Estimate : 120000/150000 euros

This ring, in platinum, holds an emerald-cut diamond weighing 5.13 carats in D colour and Internally Flawless clarity, set with 2 trapeze diamonds. Not only is the emerald cut the emblematic symbol of the famous jeweller - the first to set up shop on Place Vendôme in 1893 - but the exceptional nature of this diamond makes it one of the rarest in the world !
Estimate : 220000/320000 euros
